Browlifts in Clackamas, OR
As we gain wisdom though the years, our forehead and brow regions display the signs of aging in the form of wrinkles and frown lines. Additionally, the brows start to descend to develop into what patients often called a “tired look.” While Botox is an excellent, minimally invasive modality with which to combat such signs of aging, a browlift is a longer lasting method to address more prominent brow descent and forehead creases and is a critical component to overall facial rejuvenation.
Various approaches to a browlift exist. Traditionally, browlift surgery was performed via a coronal approach in which a long incision went from ear to ear on top of the head. This type of browlift can be associated with prolonged numbness, loss of hair, and a long recovery period. While we offer such a browlift approach if a patient so chooses, a minimal incision browlift technique may be the right choice for you. Our surgeons perform an endoscopic browlift through small incisions in the hairline. Alternatively, a temporal browlift can provide an excellent result with the use of small, hidden incisions just inside certain portions of the hairline. We believe in creating a natural look to the eyes and forehead region without creating a ‘surprised’ or ‘startled’ look. Other approaches to browlift surgery are available; the best approach for you will be discussed in your personalized consultation. Browlift surgery is often combined with blepharoplasty to optimize the appearance of the entire eyelid/brow complex.
